New AANA Accreditation

Earn 10.00 MAC Ed CE credits. with Stay Calm and Start CPR

Being a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is no joke... the stakes are always high, the pressure is constant, and the responsibility is immense. When you’re in the operating room, your focus is entirely on the patient's safety and well-being. But who is looking out for your professional development and certification needs?

At Stay Calm & Start CPR, LLC, we know that your time is your most valuable asset. Between long shifts at the hospital and trying to maintain a semblance of a personal life in Philadelphia or Montgomery County, finding high-quality, relevant continuing education can feel like just another item on an endless to-do list.

That’s why we are beyond thrilled to share some massive news.

Our company has officially been approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) for 10.00 MAC Ed CE credits. Even better? The AANA has designated this program as meeting the criteria for up to 1.50 CE credits in Pharmacology & Therapeutics.

This isn't just another certificate to hang on the wall. This is a robust, accredited opportunity to sharpen your skills, stay current with the latest medical standards, and earn the credits you need to keep doing what you do best: saving lives.

Why This Accreditation Matters for You

If you’ve been in the game for a while, you know that not all CE credits are created equal. You need training that actually translates to the bedside (or the anesthesia machine).

MAC Ed facilitates continued education through activities that have prior approval from accredited organizations like the AANA, ANCC, or ACCME. This ensures that the time you spend with us is part of a regularly updated curriculum designed to keep CRNAs at the top of their game.

Let’s look at the breakdown:

  • 10.00 Class A CE Credits: A significant boost toward your recertification requirements.
  • 1.50 Pharmacology & Therapeutics Credits: Specifically targeted at the complex drug interactions and therapeutic interventions you handle daily.

Ready to Earn Your Credits?

If you are ready to knock out 10.00 CE credits (including that crucial pharmacology component), we are ready for you.

Don't wait until the last minute of your recertification cycle. Join a community of professionals who value high-quality care, stay updated on the latest standards, and, most importantly, know how to stay calm when it counts.

Here is how you can get started:

  1. Check our schedule: We offer flexible timing to accommodate your busy shift schedule.
  2. Verify your requirements: Ensure these AANA-approved credits align with your specific state or facility needs.
  3. Register: Secure your spot in our next accredited session.

CPR Matters

Closing the Gap for Women on International Women’s Day

On this International Women’s Day, we’re shining a light on an issue that doesn’t get talked about enough: women are less likely to receive CPR from a bystander during a cardiac arrest — especially in public.  There is a 14% gap exists for women receiving bystander CPR, and the research is eye-opening.  This gap isn’t about biology. It’s about hesitation, misconceptions, and social discomfort that cost precious minutes when every second matters.

1. Fear of “Inappropriate Touch”

Many bystanders — particularly men — hesitate because they’re worried about touching a woman’s chest or removing clothing for AED pads. But CPR is a medical emergency, not a moral dilemma. Hands go on the center of the chest. AED pads must be placed correctly. Saving a life comes first.

2. The Myth of Fragility

Some people fear pressing too hard because they think women are “more fragile.” In reality, effective CPR requires strong, deep compressions for everyone. What’s fragile is the window of time without oxygen.

3. Recognition Bias

Cardiac arrest in women is often misread as fainting, anxiety, or “not feeling well.” This delay means CPR starts later — or not at all. If someone is unresponsive and not breathing normally, start CPR immediately.

4. Public vs. Private Hesitation

Women receive CPR at home just as often as men. The hesitation happens in public — where fear of judgment, perception, or touching the chest becomes a barrier. This isn’t a skills issue. It’s a social hesitation issue.

How We Change This

On International Women’s Day, we commit to closing the CPR gap by:

  • Teaching that CPR is the same for men and women
  • Normalizing AED pad placement
  • Addressing fears openly in training
  • Encouraging confident, immediate action
  • Sharing stories of women saved by CPR

Women deserve equal access to life‑saving help.   This International Women’s Day, let’s break the hesitation, challenge the myths, and empower more people to act with confidence.

Because CPR matters — and so do the women we love.
